As BizBizze, we organized a trip to the Grand Bazaar area, which has existed since the beginning of trade in Istanbul. On November 27, with the participation of BizBizze members and volunteers, we had a magnificent journey in the so-called “Çarşı-yı Kebir”, where shops covered with roofs and domes were surrounded.
We traveled around Çemberlitaş, the Grand Bazaar and inns in the company of our tour guide, Master Architect Seda Bildik, a member of the Board of BizBizze. Çemberlitaş was our first stop in the historical shopping area with nearly 60 streets and more than 3600 shops. .
At Zincirlihan, we listened to the Master-Apprentice relationship and the old bazaar ethics from Mr. Garbis. Then our tour continued with the Cevahir Bedesten, which consists of 15 separate sections and each section is covered with a dome, and the Sandal Bedesten with 50 domes. .
We completed our bazaar tour, which includes institutions such as health center, police station, branches of all banks and post offices, by visiting the workshop of one of our entrepreneurs, jewelery designer Belkız Sünnetçioğlu.
