Using entrepreneurship as a means of access to sports and gender equality in Turkey, she tries to support education of women and girls, increase entrepreneurship culture among women and empowerment of them.
Sports, business life and entrepreneurship is defined as specific areas traditionally for men in Turkey. These social phenomena are also supported by the venues where these activities take place. For example, sports and exercise centers, more than 80% of which consist of billiard halls, football fields and bodybuilding halls, almost completely exclude women from these areas.
B-fit, which was founded by Bedriye Hülya, not only gives women the opportunity to exercise and get to know their bodies by creating women-friendly spaces, but also provides them with various knowledge and skills that they can use in other areas of their lives.
Established and run by women, b-fit centers enable women to both establish their own businesses and gain work experience.
Bedriye Hülya managed to spread b-Fit centers to 200 different points in the country with a successful franchise/dealership model in a short time. It paved the way for hundreds of women to become entrepreneurs and to participate in business life, many of them having their first experience, providing 90,000 women with the opportunity to make sport, exercise and self-development. In the recent years, b-fit centers have become to serve as a platform for women to develop and implement social responsibility projects.
She has designed the BizBizze Idea and Support Unit for Women project as a social entrepreneur since 2016, and has enabled the use of full capacity of b-fit and opportunities for the execution of the project, and provides individual consultancy services to this project.
